The Best Western Chicago Hillside has received the Best Western Chairman’s Award, the chain’s highest honor for outstanding quality standards. The Chairman’s Award recognizes Best Western International Hotels scoring in the top five percent of all 2400 North American properties in cleaniness and maintenance. Hotels must also meet Best Western’s requirements for design and high customer service scores to qualify for the award.

Millions and millions of years ago, during the Mesozoic Era, dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Through October 2009, you will be able to step back in time and experience 18 prehistoric animatronics creatures at Dinosaurs Alive! An exciting new interactive and multi-sensory exhibit. The dinosaurs will be displayed in an outdoor forest setting.

Dinosaurs Alive! is both an entertaining and story-driven educational experience for the entire family. This dynamic exhibit features an exceptional collection of life-size replica dinosaurs that are fleshy to the touch, make a variety of sounds, from loud roars to chirps, and have up to eight sinuous movements. The highlight of the exhibit will be the world’s largest animatronics dinosaur that is a replica of the Ruyang Yellow River dinosaur, which measures nearly 60 feet long, 22 feet wide, and 30 feet high! As Chicago hotel blogs go I don’t expect to spend to much time talking about our hotel but more about whats happening around us! Some Chicago Hotel Blogs talk about the different hotels here. In most cases a hotel is not why most travelers are coming to Chicago. They come for the attractions, what they can see and do while there here. So this Chicago Hotel Blog thinks its time to talk about one of Chicago’s greatest attractions the Brookfield Zoo!

Having a hotel thats just 10 minutes from the Zoo’s doorstep is of great advantage to our guests. In fact we offer great packages encompassing alot of activities at the zoo.

Since 1934 The Chicago Zooogical Society has operated the Brookfield Zoo and the Zoo has been a leader in the education of the public on animal care and conservation.
The Zoo offers some exciting attractions such as the dolphin show, the childrens zoo, The Motor Safari, The Butterfly Exhibit with live butterflies, or even go for a “Wild Encounter” where you go behind the scenes to see how the animals are taken care of, how their fed and learn in depth about different species. No other zoo in the Midwest has such programs or offers the excitment that Brookfield Zoo has to offer!

New Chicago Hotel Blog

As Chicago Hotel Blogs go, were the newest and I of course hope the best! First let me tell you a little about this great Chicago hotel. We’re actually just 15 minutes west of downtown Chicago, 15 minutes south west of Ohare Airport and 10 minutes northwest of Oakbrook Mall! We’re a brand new Chicago Hotel in that we have just completed a major renovation of the property and were known as the Best Western Chicago Hillside. We’re not a typical Best Western hotel as we are a full service hotel with banquet and conference facilities and a full service restaurant and lounge.

We just completed a major quality inspection by Best Western and we received a perfrect score! Some of our guests have compared our rooms to the quality of a Hyatt! We’re excited about our property and what we have to offer our guests.

This blog will focus on whats happening in Chicago and our area that could be of interest to our travelers staying with us. Downtown Chicago can be very expensive and we offer a great alternative to downtown chicago hotels yet were close enough to enjoy all of Chicago.
